The ChipRover Story...

ChipRover was founded in 2004 by a group of semiconductor-industry professionals seeking a superior product where none existed. They each had used every available component search-engine and all came to the same startling conclusion: for an industry that is so focused on technology, the products available for sourcing components lacked innovation and depth. Without hesitation, the group began working to deliver on a simple promise: To create the most useful, most effective, and most efficient semiconductor search-engine and business platform available on the internet.

With the common goal of creating a semiconductor business platform and component search-engine that was easy to use, the company founders began building ChipRover. They relied on their own experiences. They interviewed distributors, salespeople, OEMs, CMs, and engineers to gather ideas. They tested and re-tested applications and services. They built user-friendly tools and tore them down only to start over from scratch, again and again, until they got it right. No stone was left unturned, no idea was ignored.

Proudly, at the beginning of 2006, they were ready to showcase the result of their labor. With little fanfare outside of their own offices, the founders of ChipRover revealed the most powerful component search-engine and business platform ever. Then, they began the task of sharing what they knew with stocking distributors everywhere: that there was now a product available that took component sourcing to a whole new level.
